Patchy render when using Ultra.

Somewhere in the last fell months i noticed that, whenever i render an scene on ultra, it gets blurry on some surfaces (most of it on the walls and ceilings).

The same does not happen on High, at least not as much in some scenes. Do you guys know what might be causing this?

High Rendering

Hi there @vitor520 and a warm welcome to our Forum.

This behavior usually occurs when the scene is not lit well enough or in case emissive surfaces are mainly used to light the scene - Does this behavior also perhaps already improve when you turn up the “Artificial Light Brightness” through the corresponding slider in our “Atmosphere” tab of the Visual Settings?

Otherwise, just to make sure, if you were to replace or rather complement the ceiling lights (which should be emissive surfaces) with actual light sources does that help? You can try keeping the emissive surfaces but making sure that the main light comes from the actual light sources. And which CAD solution are you using in combination with Enscape?

Thank you Demian, i lowered the emissive lights and the problem disappeared. I was using it with light sources but i guess it was overpowering them. I use enscape with Sketchup. If the problem happens again, ill try the other solutions and get back to give a feedback. Thanks for the help!

Happy to help! Just so you aren’t slightly confused as to why this doesn’t occur on the High setting: Simply put the lighting calculations we do inside of Enscape aren’t as complex so there is also less room for error so to speak. But with a bit of fine-tuning Ultra should always look better than High of course.
