If i’m correct… Corona for 3DS Max has new (experimental) caustics feature available only in v4 daily.C4D version doesn’t have it yet, although you can still use different engines (‘experimental’ PPM or VCM) to render caustics quite efficiently. And then again, it could simply be wrong material settings, but since you always forget to provide your study scene file, there’s nothing anyone can do to help.
Just for information, the new caustics developed in the Corona core is not in the 3ds Max daily builds yet, only in internal builds. A forum search for the topic should turn up the info on using the PPM or VCM engines to render caustics in the current versions of Corona, and this Max helpdesk article should apply in principle (just the UI would be different) - https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000043584-how-to-render-caustics-
