I am using the most up to date version of enscape and my graphics driver. I am using an RTX 3080 and have 64GB RAM. I am not using any other programs when rendering.
I am getting consistent errors which close sketchup and enscape when trying to render out images on ultra HD. Why does this keep happening?
I refuse to lower the settings or turn off raytracing, I need the best quality I can get and my hardware is more than capable so that leads me to believe it’s an error with enscape.

Could you kindly submit us a feedback report with log files? This way we can let you know what this is caused by exactly and whether or not this is an issue that lies with Enscape. I’d appreciate it, thank you again in advance, and let me know once you’ve sent in said report.
You are going to have a bad time… Your other options are to reduce the amount of geometry in your scene or get a GPU with more VRAM.
Have you actually tried and compared your scene with and w/o raytracing? And “high” vs “ultra” quality? The difference is pretty minimal in many cases. Enscape’s focus is real-time rendering. If you need the highest possible quality, you might consider a different solution. I hear Enscape has something in the works with VRay… ; )
I have no probs rendering ultra 4k x 3k with a 2070 so your 3080 should be more than fine.
(I do have raytracing off as it burned through my 2070’s 8gb)
Is your power supply upto the task? For a 3080 I wouldn’t have anything below an 850w
Do your model(s) have a lot of heavy geometry such as detailed foliage or furniture?
Do you use a lot of very large texture files (greater than 3000px)?
What version of Enscape are you running? What version of SketchUp are you running? What version of Windows are you running?
I had a failing SSD that DIDNT crash the system but did cause my SU/Enscape to fail under load, it wasn’t obvious and took some time to diagnose, or more specifically it was the only thing left after repeatedly testing everything else. Since replacing the SSD (and taking the opportunity to reinstall everything from Windows up) I haven’t experienced any problems whatsoever with SU 2022 / Enscape 3.3
