Hi all…
This is a little test of inserting an object into a photo…
The car inserted is from Dosch.
This render is one pass, can any one refer me to some good info
regarding braking up a scene into different elements/passes.
(i’ve searched the forum for info and found some good one’s but need some more in detail)
You’ll need to use the GI/reflection overides with something other the the same image screen mapped to keep the car from looking transparent like that. Also you can try camera mapping the background onto your Shadow plane (in a matte wrapper).
The environment is overided with the same map but in spherical mode
and there is a ground plane with matte material for the shadows
here are tests with matte plane and reflections, matte with no reflections and no matte.
it looks like the matte plane makes the car transparent in some places
how can i fix that.
maybe try making plane smaller, only where is shadow
i have same problems earlier with background (on MAX enviroinment dilag) - but my building was appearing more transparent than your car… and there was NO mates!
I belive the mattematerial allways have a screenmapping to it and therefore you get the transpanensies. I gues you have tryed the reflection-overide in the rendering environment rollout? Allso you can try to ad the background image as a cameramap on the groundplane. It may not be as accurat but I think it will solve the prolem
