After playing with the trial for a while, finally managed to convince the boss to let me have Vray with Sketchup! Here’s the first photo montage it’s helped me create.
Just a question, is there an easy way to simulate the curved reflections of double glazed windows?
Work flow? I’ll have to think about that a bit more. Only done this once before, so don’t have an established technique and still experimenting. A few things spring to mind though…
1. Vray lighting is HDRI due to overcast conditions
2. Reflected buildings and trees are in model, all sourced from photos
3. My camera isn’t high end, so downgraded rendering slightly to match i.e. slight blurring
4. Slight white colour bleeding simulated on most distant objects
Thanks! Seems there’s no quick way of individually warping glass panels with a degree of randomness. I’m currently experimenting on some curtain walling with glazing of various colours, and the results using the noise bump seem quite decent.
