Planting Scatter

Hey,

How can I do that if I want my object to be too nearby? If I increase density to full then there is space between plants but I do not want any space between them. How to do it?

I want like this…No space between them. Random height Random Rotation and attached with every other object.

How can I do that in Revit software?

We have the same issue, there should be an option to allow plants to overlap to allow denser planting.

Scatter the plants once and apply. Then go back to Revit and select all the plants and rotate/copy 180º from the center of the scatter. Doing this will overlap your previous placement with another random copy.

SCATTER (MULT PLACE ASSETS)

Can we please have a scatter density setting that is DENSE (100% = full coverage and overlapping/crowding) reducing across the spectrum to sparsely populated at 0%. Also depending on how many assets are chosen, could we have a density per asset (E.g. 3 plants would have 3 x individual densities)

I’ll float this in a new thread as well…

SCATTER (MULT PLACE ASSETS)

I am just replying to my own thread as no one picked this up, the scatter density slider is not helpful.

When you select one small flower / plant and create a large rectangular marquee or flood select a

large floor area, the default spacing for plants is vast and the density slider does nothing!!

if you try to select multiple plants it just makes it worse! This function could be fast and intuitive but

at the moment a lot of manual rotation and copying seems counter productive.

Hey @merca3 ,

I think what you’re experiencing might be an individual issue. I just tested it on a flat surface with the same assets you picked and this is the density for me:

What might be causing confusion is the fact that the placement tries to avoid placing assets if there’s already geometry there, like the car in my case. So if there’s already geometry there in your case, that could be the reason no additional assets are placed. It’s avoiding overlapping.
