Scene to play with direct light like a flashlight.

Nice!!!

now thats cool

I would be curious to see the flash light only 3..5 cm away from the lens.

@Sergio_Fernando , I just filed a feature request to allow you to have a dedicated flash light in Enscape. Would you like me to upvote the topic on your behalf?

Isnt a flashlight just a spotlight? Maybe I miss the point of the gag

+1 by me for a flash light feature.

@Thomas_Willberger Right, it’s only a spotlight, but aligned to the camera, no matter where the current camera is. Could be a nice tool like a real world flash, also good as additional fill light at day scenes. I used it in the past at V-Ray and it gave a nice subtle documentary look.

as a photografer I tried everytime to reduce the “flash-light” by changing the angle of the flash.

for me it would not be a real topic to have a flash light.

please go for more able settings in lights then creating a dedicated flash light

Guys, I did not really want to simulate the flash as if I had taken a photo, maybe it was not very clear but the intensity was to give a climate of terror to the scene and the angle would be of someone seeing a flashlight coming, some even ironic they commented as if I had missed the direction of light but as I said it was not what I wanted to do.

Yeah, this was a very popular trend with F-storm render users. The image is made just for fun, with a terror feel.

Hey @heinrich.boldt , thanks a lot for your feedback. Which further settings or adjustments would you like to see implemented when it comes to our existing lights?

I mean the little

I talk about the little flash lights like fixed at simple cameras, nothing movable. This little flash lights are used at photos all over the world - at night shots or as fill light against dark shadows. This flash light isn’t a wonder artistic tool, but it add a realism to the scene, since nobody expect that 3D artist have cameras with little flash lights only too. So, the flash light maybe a kind dirty side effect like vignetting or lens dispersion, but it can be used to add a mood of imperfection and realism like done by a quick snapshot.

In the past I rendered train interiors and there was an information panel at the ceiling that needs to be shown at the rendering. The light situation was quite homogeneous, nothing special. I added a light “cheap” flash fill light effect and it was looking like someone was went trough the train and did a quick snapshot. I loved the effect.
