well…still having the problems with 64 bit. Seems saving a png with alpha does not work on 64 bit system install. Can someone confirm? I know my other computer with 32 bit does save them…Weird

EDIT…OK…my 32 bit system does it too…Oops…I save out my file and the background is grey…there is nothing in the environment slot and I am at a loss…This is an older file and I ma using the direct light with omni and vray light method. So the client wants a simple change and for it to look the same.

The thing that you are rendering out.. is it sitting on anything or is there a plane or something. Reason being is that if you have said object and a plane, so that in the render you dont actually see the max env then your not going to get the alpha that i *think* your after.

Perhaps you could post the render ?
