i have the prolem that max didn’t accept “,” anymore in spinners. have to type with “.”. and even than he didn’t allways accept. :?
the windows language is set to german, and in all other progs its normal.
can i change it anywhere?

try blowing your 3ds max ini, back it up first. Might help.
hmm can’t find anything inside the *.ini
really? just delete it and restart max, it will make a new one. Make sure you back the old one first.
ja try’d it, everything is resetted except the comma thing :?
Im assuming you checked = control panel, languich settings/customize current, and made sure there its configured properly?
ja thats what i’ve checked first. as i sad in all other progs its fine.
windows has a default shortcut to change the active language for the currently open application - i think it is keeping the control key (strg in german) pressed for an amount of time (or pressing it together with the left alt button)
you wont notice this effect when you switch to other apps because the language gets switched back then
try manually setting back to english in the task bar (btw. you can disable the shortcut by right clicking on the language field in the task bar and choosing settings and keyboard

ok reinstalled max, and works fine.

Language settings alone may not be enough.
There’s a further panel where the user can decide what is the decimal and thousands separator and date format.
Once the chosen language is set, there’s a “customize…” button by the language name, where you can set the options, in case anything changed them.
I’d find it odd if it was a max issue, to be honest…
Even though, if it’s V9, anything may come to pass, lol

hi lele. running max 8. dond’t know really if there was a max problem or windows. i also checked the advanced settings in windows as you mentioned before i’ve reinstalled. was all good.
