I have been doing 3D scans for years, but I just tried using the point cloud in Max. I have seen old threads that Corona has in the past not been able to render them in Max. Does Corona render point clouds in 2023 (using a setting that I can’t figure out)? If not, any idea what does?
Corona still can’t - Arnold would be an alternative. I guess there’ll be a tutorial or it’s documented somewhere how to do it in Arnold.
Didn’t try it myself, but maybe this can be achieved with the help of tyflow? Spawn particles on a point cloud and then render them with Corona.
