Preview Fuel checkbox won't stay on...

This is weird. I’d like to preview the fuel in viewport (no GPU), but somehow the checkbox doesn’t stay on.
Check the fuel preview on - it shows nothing. Deselect and select the simulator again - Fuel preview isn’t active anymore.

Cache file content shows that there is fuel: (0.00 : 1.00)

We’ve reproduced the issue. The first occurrence is with the 27903 nightly from Dec.16th.
