problem with vraysun

Hi

I am using vray at office and have a problem when using a visible vray sun light. The rendering comes with a black circle around the vray sun which creates some ugly reflections on the water. Do you know what the problem might be?

in the color mapping tick Clamp Output and subpixel mapping to fix this issue.

either that or switch to a non sharpening aa filter. or switch filtering off altogether.

Thanks for the quick replies.
I’ve found that changing the AA filter to area works better than ticking the subpixel mapping and clamp output, because it keeps the sun reflection on the water.

i have contacted chaos for this reason, but they did not get back to me! If you can fasten up the process I’ll buy you a beer.

Those 221 posts where made when the forum was free in 2004-05. Where was you at that time?

we were not saying to contact them about the problem. we were saying to contact them for full forum access that will reflect the status of you copy of vray. im not trying to be rude or anything but if you have been around since the days when you could post on the free and public part you would have known why those sections were locked. and if you have been around that long you would have had quite a while to get registered on the forum.
