Why? when I save an image in EXR format and then mount the sky in photoshop out jagged edges?
can someone help? setting problem?

its nothing to do with your settings, they have no effect. The only thing i could guess at, is that your output size is too small and you are enlarging them in PS to add sky, people etc. Try rendering a larger file size and avoid enlarging images in PS, this should sort your issue. In 2 years of using vray and saving as PNG’s ive never had to adjust settings etc.

Hello deanfitton the actual size of the output image is 2500x1320 pixels, the image posted is just a crop of the original, where you see the problem …
other information I can give is I’m taking pictures in vrimg mode. maybe this is causing ragged edges?

it’s not gonna be fixed with anything, you just have to use the pen tool to crop those edges, as easy as that

in photoshop, you can use the matting tool:
Layer → Matting → Remove White Matte
this will get rid of your white border, but if you have areas of semi-transparent objects with the background behind, it can do some odd things in those areas.

hi Omar…the background is postproduction in photoshop with simple images, and there are also some 3D trees in the front.
