whats the render time on something like that per frame?
It was rendered without GI. Just a Domelight with a HDRI.
~4 min. per frame on a Q6600.
He just dances like that because he’s walking with fire! 
Anyway, what’s the politically correct term for “little people” that are not really “people”?
Little people that aren’t really people must therefore be fictional, in which case no term of political correctness is required - as fictional people cant complain about incorrect terminology. I was always confused about the difference between Dwarfs and Midgets, then Primordial dwarfs came along and really threw a spanner in the works.

how many instances are there, how many offsetted proxy animation started models
One initial proxy. 10 Copies of it with an animation offset between 0 and 100 frames.
Also the animation speed varies between 0,9 and 1,1.
