0.001 for qmc in ver. 1.47 was a really good setting, now in 1.5, do i have to use 0.001 further, or is 0.01 now the “magig” number?
q2:
i cant dr in 1.5 get to work with the software-dongle & viz2005.
vray runs fine on my client-machinein single mode, also i dont have to start
the vraylicence-server, as i had to in 1.47 (think this is the software-dongle-thing?).
also, without starting the the lic.-server, my server wont get a
licence and keeps on restarting untitled.max.
so, if i try to start the vraylic. on the client, its looking for the wibu-box without success.
0.001 for the old QMC sampler would translate roughly to 0.005 for the new one.

Since the “virtual dongle” is nothing more than the old licensing system with the license key, it should work exactly in the same way as it did then (e.g. you need the old VRLServer.exe, and not the new one which requires a donlge).
doesnt work and “feels” like the old viz problem.
a few day before, with 1.47, all worked fine. installed 1.5 over
and now, spawner open and closes max, not named vraydummie, for ever
maybe waiting for the dongle will help…
Hi,
Viz needs:
1. vrayspawner.ini
2. resave the excisting maxdummy.max with a new one.
3. take an old .xml-file from backburner\Network\Jobs\, rename it vraydummy.xml and overwrite the new one in Viz root.
