I’m in the market for a new workstation, what do you guys think to this,
any good or wait for dual quad cores 
They’re saying it’s comparible with the dual xeon 5150 systems.

I’m getting a new machine soon too and I can’t find anything better value than a mac pro at the moment - I’d have to add on a better gfx card (only something like a geforce 7950gx2 admittedly) but to buy the equivalent spec in a dell is nearly €1500 more for no reason - The only thing I don’t like is that you do need to use bootcamp from osx to get windows xp up since xp’s own boot loader can’t support the new bios in the mac - vista will solve this problem and a dell pc uses an xp compatible bios so that’s the only advantage.
Official release date for the new Quads was listed as November 11th with high end quads priced at about $1,000. Reviews from Toms Hardware have been great - that’s if you can trust Tom’s not to take kickbacks like they once got caught doing…
