Our institutional client need a formal recommendation.
They are thinking of going for the Quadro P1000 as a solution for GPU rendering.
We wanted to know your opinion on that graphics card? Is it suitable for work in an Intel Core i7-8700k processor environment?

It depends on what they want to do . I’ve P2000 , which is much better then P1000 , and I use it sometimes for interior renderings , logos animation only and for revit . Not usefull for big exterior renderings /only 5GB RAM / .In my opinion P1000 hasn’t enough power to be usuefull for professional renderings . P1000 is designed for cad users .
The P4000 is a good choice or GTX 2080TI even better . Of course these cards need better power supply and are more expensive .
The P1000 is very slow and only have 4 GB of VRAM.. which is not really enough for GPU rendering
Get an RTX 2070, it should be 100 dollars more, but it has 8 GB of VRAM and it is much faster than the P1000
