Steam loads automatically at start up.
What is the correct order for starting the rest of the apps (SteamVR, Oculus App, Mixed Reality Portal) and at what point do you need to put the headset on?

Simply try to start Steam + SteamVR and then Enscape (latest release ideally) in VR but definitely do not open the Oculus App (or the Mixed Reality Portal which is also not required) as that usually negatively interferes with the process - Starting and testing SteamVR to also see if the Quest 2 is properly connected and working alongside is as easy as clicking the “VR” button in the Steam window (top right):
If that doesn’t do the trick, you can also give our latest preview a try as we’ve adjusted the VR implementation a bit further in that version so it may help if you experience any problems.
