I am using VfSU 1.05.30 because I can’t use the higher versions. When I try to use them my older models won’t render. I tried everything.
When I try to make Bump Maps, I tick V on the bump map in the Diffuse and put a texture in the bitmap category. The thing is, when I render it out, the bumps the picture should give the surface are so small they cant be seen and it screws up the entire render.
My question is, how do I align the bump map with the texture I mapped to the surface?
Re: Question about Bump Maps
Bump maps are usually ‘gray scale’ versions of the diffuse map they are twinned with (obvously adjusted to get the right degree of bump etc.). Therefore they naturally align with the diffuse partner.

Re: Question about Bump Maps
Late reply, but…
You can’t use diffuse maps in Sketchup, it has to be projected or else it won’t come out good.
Re: Question about Bump Maps
I’ve had success with Bump and Displacement maps working with the diffuse layer but I’ve added all through the vray material editor after my original material was originally added to the surfaces and scaled in SketchUp.

What do you mean by this?
