I’m new to rendering with V-ray. :-[ I tried out the beta back when it was still being worked on, and I remember there being one pretty big hangup that held me back from purchasing / using it.
Edges.
It seems now that I still can not get my edges to render. Is this by default not renderable? are they ignored?
I do lots of white models… without textures. we are looking at v-ray because of its ability to do so much better with the shades and shadows. however when i lose my detail it is a pretty big problem.
Please see attached…
Hope you guys might have a suggestion to try!
Re: Question about rendering - Need some Edge help
Fiddling about in Photoshop, I isolated my lines in sketchup, and exported it, and overlaid them onto the V-ray image.
This is really what I would be looking for (I still need to work on my shadows as they are not what I am looking for yet) but… you should now understand what I am looking for.
Is this possible?
Thanks again
Re: Question about rendering - Need some Edge help
Sorry, there is no ability to render edges in V-Ray yet. Maybe Joe can give a bit of info on possible nonphotorealistic stuff, cause I know he was reading up on it.
Re: Question about rendering - Need some Edge help

I’m all ears for any suggestions
