hey all, just toying around… (thanks for the maps to some other site)
3 min on a xp2100 and only one polygon on the rock surface.
Never been able to get it that smooth, any special settings in the VRay Displacement? It always seems to detect specks and spots in the image map (without modifying so there are no specks/spots just the main shape)

I’ve never been able to figure out what settings to change in the VRay displacement modifer.
It’s hard to believe what displacement is capable of achieving.

here’s my 16faces scene.
are the ripples on the water displaced as well. or did you chump out on that
it looks like so,but it’s only a noisemap for texture (no displace)
OK everybody - if I can write a tut on caustics, then anyone should be able to write one for displacement. Any takers?
