re: serial number and no replies

First I love VRay I am using it for my Masters project at Uni and though only a beginner - I love the results.

However on opening Rhino on sunday I was informed that I had used my serial number the maximum number of times and needed to contact authorisation@asgvis.com. I know from past experience that this will take 5-6 working days.

I have a deadline for Thursday and now will have to explain to my tutors why my work is not finished, and hope that I can still retrieve some kind of mark from it (not hopeful)

This happened recently as well and I only knew all was ok on opening Rhino I received no notification from yourselves. I have also sent you two previous emails (about a connected issue)over a long period of time which you have not responded to.

Is it because I am a student that you don’t feel it’s necessary to respond? Others seem to comment on the good service- what am doing wrong?

yours very frustrated (pulling my hair out!)

Re: re: serial number and no replies

Thankyou for that! thats English english spelling for you!

however that still doesnt explain why I have had no replies to emails sent via your website to support@asgvis.com.

But since this is where I get a response then I will post it here:

when I reinstalled Rhino and vRay after my computer crashed, I needed to contact you to activate my authorisation code.

However once I had reinstalled the software i got the following messages:

rhino plug in error:
rhrdk.10.v40.rhp Unable to load rhrdk.10.v40.rhp plug in : dependent
DLL is missing

rhinoceros 4.0 V-Ray for rhino
Unable to locate or load RHrdk.10.v40DLL some functionality for our
sunlight panel will not be available.

I contacted you and rhino and rhino replied on 15.03.10 to tell me:

We aren’t aware of any current incompatibility between Rhino and Vray.
To ensure compatibility, please uninstall both Rhino and Vray and do the
following:

- Install Rhino from your CD.

- Install the last Service release (SR7:
http://files.na.mcneel.com:80/rhino/4.0/2009-12-14/sr/rh40sr\_en\_20091214
..exe?AWSAccessKeyId=050NWYGC9TWYXMD9YG02&Expires=1269258677&Signature=5e
LfZxb%2bpy042XBXJM2J91f02h0%3d )

- Install Vray using the last installer available (check with ASG:
www.asgvis.com ). Don’t install the RDK now.

I then contacted you again to check whether I would need to reactivate vray on installation. Since i am very busy using it at the moment I did not want to wait the 5 days which it took last time to reactivate.

I am still waiting for a response to that email, I believe I also sent a follow up email via the website to ask what the delay was…

Once you have reactivated vray - I will still need a answer to the above issue.

It would also be useful to know why my activation code is not working again?

FYI I have the latest version of RDK and vray is version 01.05.29 (well it was last time I could check!)

Thanking you in anticipation

Re: re: serial number and no replies

Why not set up an alias of the email address?

Re: re: serial number and no replies

we have a couple redirects set up for some typos, I guess it can’t hurt to have a couple more… We can only account for so many typos before it gets ridiculous though. The correct email address is clearly written in that error message.
