Re: RECENT RENDER
work up this mornin to a wonderful suprise…a posting by santos. Gotta say man, these are great. The entire mood and attention to detail is superb. Im sure this is out of your hands, but the only thing that I would change is the ceiling (the blue is not working with the rest of the scene for me). That aside, would you mind answering a few questions…? The inlayed carpet is awesome, how did you accomplish that material? And I think everyone will benefit from this…can you explain your workflow with how you got your IES lights to work? I can never seem to get it correct and I am not sure why. Maybe mention things like if you grouped your IES geometry or just made it a single plane or if used .png or .jpg file for your maps. I think knowing how you did it would be very beneficial because you seemed to master it and maybe include your light settings if you can. Thanks santos for any responses and keep up the good work.
Oh, and have you had any luck with animation yet?
Re: RECENT RENDER
No surprise here…another great one from you Jeff!
It’s freelance work, or a project from work?
Cheers!
Re: RECENT RENDER
great scene and mats :o
Re: RECENT RENDER
Fantastic renders! Two questions: 1. Is the floor displacement? 2. Where did you get the curtains?
Justin
Re: RECENT RENDER
ok thanks a lot dude..
ok first the design is not 100% mine specially the inbedcarpet wooden floor and blue ceiling.
about the displacement its a pillow like in the tutorial here before scaled down to becomne almost flat and i used the smooth and subdivide to add mesh then same materials jpeg used in the displacement material (can be found in this forum sorry cant remember who did it, its been a long time) and about the ies its just .jpg heres my workflow 1st try to fix the ies map both faces then create a link material after that create again a vray material the diffuse is just plain black the opacity use the jpg. ies then apply it to the model inside of the group. after that you can delete the first link material… im not sure if its correct but its working for me. i think the history of the link material is still there??
lastly the visoft i used is still mado visoft i never change it since before only adjusting it in ps using brightness contrast.
btw the floor is modeled.
hope i did answer your questions
Oh, and have you had any luck with animation yet? yes i have a good visoft for that the problemn is combining it. i know how in movie maker but its annoying i have to put x4 speed in each frame… dont know how. i guess after effects is the solution but dont know how to use it. if you can help me i will really appreciate.. thanks

Re: RECENT RENDER old vray
This is very rich in color and texture. I love it. Personally not my taste when it comes to a room (the architecture) BUT I still love and apreciate the work. Great job. Its beautiful.
Re: RECENT RENDER old vray

Re: RECENT RENDER old vray
hmmmm i think it took me 3hrs for modeling including furniture then the render time shown in each render + 2 min. in each post process + say 1hr for light test and max 1 hr again for material test… i start it 9am june6 finished it 4pm june7 thats what i can remember sleepless renders ;D
Re: RECENT RENDER old vray
hmmmm i think it took me 3hrs for modeling including furniture …
Wow.
3 hours it’s really fast, considering the ornaments on the wall and all the accessories.
