Hi,
this is a project i started a few hours ago - so there are still lots of things to do. but i want to hear, what you think about that. i don’t know why the splotches are so heavy, i gonna check the settings soon.
the chairs are lofted, the white stuff on wall as well.
i need to give the plant a material, check out the splotches, finish modelling and give the table legs
It dosnt look like its a case of too low settings…to me atleast
You have something in your scene that does this either materials or objects.
Check for non vray reflections, caustics, selfilluminated objects etc etc.
otherwise the search option of this forum will provide some more detailed tips.
it were the subdivs. of my vraylights. increased them and now it´s okay (just the two at the right side. and there are no raytrace-mats at all.. strange,eh?) .
in case you havent noticed there is still a ‘splotch’ or two left. My guess would be that is still there just smaller and in new positions since you changed the pattern of the rays by subdividing.
/edit
ohh i should have read your prevoius post twice before posting…you did notice.
Quote myself
“Changed the settings very slightly. lowered the noise threshold to 0.008 and the early termination amount to 0.8 and raised the min samples to 15 (i think) and it rendered in 12mins. (these changes were made from the default values of 0.01 , 1.0 , & 10 respectively)”
This produced a splotch free render for me. But you gotta be careful, changing these settings to drastically can results in some crazy assed render times.
P.s. Try moving the camera ever so slightly and see if they go away, they did for me…weird.
Could be cause by the self-illuminated materials which u assigned to the two things on wall and ur standing light. Maybe u wanna try hiding them and render the scene again.. Try to narrow down the cause of the problem. Do post ur result, If its a material problem, i might be able to help.
little update: still with splotches but thanks to DaForce, your tips helped me. i just have forgotten to render it with those settings (tested it at work)
they ARE horizontal, the table stands on these two vertical “boxes” in the middle of the horizontal ones. it works. really. thanks for comments, final version will be posted tonight or tomorrow.
