Just as a rendering test, for compositing, I setup a simple scene. Teapot on a ground plane, mirror behind it and piece of glass in front.
I’m trying to find the correct way to change the color of the teapot and render only what is needed;
teapot
shadows cast
reflection
refraction
w/ alpha
and composite the new teapot back into the scene. If you look at the 3ds Max scene and images, I have been successful in getting every element I need to render correctly with an alpha channel EXCEPT, the refraction of the teapot through the glass. I’ve tried adjusting v-ray properties, using the VRayMtlWrapper, using the Image Sampler Render mask and nothing works at all.
Not sure if I’m approaching this correctly but all indications seem like these settings should work. Any help would be appreciated.
