Relative Newbie questions

Hello Forum,

Not been using Enscape for long but i have a couple of questions that I cannot find answers to with a search.

  1. when i add rectangular lights, and i extend them to my preferred length, after some time of working in the model the actual light emitted from them shortens, so in effect a certain proportion of the length of the rectangle light is no longer emitting light. anyone come across this before?

  2. Is there a way I can set the depth of field and focal point on a scene by scene basis?

@GaryRead , welcome to our Forum!

  1. When it comes to rectangular lights especially, make sure to edit them using Enscape’s light size controls only - That is because there is a fixed limit regarding over which distance the light can be emitted. This limit is there due to technical reasons and is pretty much present in most real-time applications.

If you’ve already done that, and this issue still persists, then can you also send me a screenshot of that behavior? If the sources are also located on a wall or close to a wall, does it help if you increase the thickness of the respective wall?

  1. Yes! You can simply connect any of your Visual Settings to any scene/view:

Thank you in advance for any further replies.

Many Thanks for your help!
