Render Delay

I am running V-ray for SU on an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86 GHz with 2GB RAM. I am also using distributed rendering on 6 other machines. Every time I click the render scene button, there is a delay of about 10 minutes before the v-ray rendering window even shows up, once it’s there, the scene only takes about 2 minutes to render. Is this normal?

i think it is normal..ive experienced it too especially on big scenes with a lot of materials..mine’s AthlonX2 1GB..
