render elements and layers ?

Hello friends !

I would like to render some render elements, like reflection, gi, bg, alpha, zdepth, etc.
And, I would like to use all of them effective in Adobe After Effects.

Now the question is:
How do I have to sort the layers, so I can add … hmm,. let me say more reflection ?

Is there anywhere a guide, that describes the layer management ?

I guess it depends on what you actually need to achieve, having a bunch of elements for the sake of it can create more confusion than anything.
