I’m rendering several shots using vray GPU.
each frame takes longer than the previous, which is causing a lot of delays. the shots are general tracking type shots, nothing dynamic or anything that would cause longer render times.
i’ve confirmed this by pausing the render on frame 5580 and restarting later in the day. the first frame is slow due to the loading, but the subsequent frames are rendering over 200% faster. But I can see the frames are getting slower as the shot progresses.
This is common over all my shots. The shots are around 100 frames each, so the time wastage is significant.
I’m using a 4090 for rendering.
Any suggestions please?
and here’s the Stats from the current render. I’m well below the 22gb RAM. No errors or warnings in the Log either.
What’s your thermals look like on the gpu?, you air cooled or liquid? Check ram temps too. Hwinfo64, run sensors only while rendering, will most likely find the problem. Vray logs won’t help much unless its not enough ram or major errors. Check cpu thermals, gpu thermals, check the thermal throttling stat in hwinfo64, make sure you do sensors only. If your motherboard doesn’t monitor ram temp get a cheap IR thermometer for 15-20 bucks. Check the ram while rending. I know you are gpu rendering but if nothing else shows a problem, checking the ram is worth the time. Check the voltage readings in hwinfo too, your power supply might be overheating or unable to sustain the load for long periods
Does it happen in every scene? Or only on that particular one?

I just paused and unpaused the render queue, and you can see the render time dropped massively ^^

Looks like your system memory is the issue, its maxes out during uninterrupted rendering. When system memory maxes it starts using page filing, which is much slower than ram. So your gpu is waiting on page files for scene data. I could be wrong tho I am new to this. Definitely check other scenes as hermit suggested. Hopefully a more knowledgeable member can guide you better or confirm my assumption.
