Rendering issue with a cylindrical mesh system

Has anyone seen this before? The 3d model has a uniform thickness but when I render the cylindrical (mesh smoothed) mesh it loses thickness on some areas of the image. Even the wireframe is showing this same issue so it’s not the lighting blowing out the details.

Can’t seem to resolve it no matter what resolution I’m rendering at.

You could post the geo of just that object for investigation, which would help.

I recently had a visually similar problem. When looking at the mesh, there were errors in some edge directions, meaning the normals were getting messed up. This could be the same thing, so worth checking.

Could be an image filtering. Did you try to switch to different filtering, change its radius, or disable it completely?

Tried TENT and HIGH QUALITY and it was doing the same thing. Let’s see if I disable it

Normals seem to be fine on this mesh

I tried creating something similar, but I am not getting any issues. We would need the scene, preferably at https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
