The green object consists of two non-contiguous planar faces (two polygons) with a portal material applied.
Is it better to create two separate objects, each with a separate portal material, or is the depicted configuration appropriate?

Pardon my inquiry, the question is if it’s better to have two separate planes with applied different portal-mat, instead of two merged planes with one?
I’ve inquired this before.
Apparently either option is fine.
@Georgek : Yes, precisely!
@Aaouviz : Thanks
Also make sure your portal plane has zero thickness and preferably non-2sided flat box.
