I’m using a version of SketchUp 2023 with the latest Enscape however disabling rest mode and restarting doesn’t seem to function.
I would have expected things like the wind effects to carry on running, but they just stop as normal

Hi Adam, I appreciate the report!
I was unable to reproduce this using the latest release, so right away I’ll have to ask if you might’ve perhaps turned the wind intensity to 0% in the Atmosphere tab of the settings and that is why you do not see leaves moving and such?
If that does not explain it, please kindly get back to me so that we can troubleshoot this further. Thanks!
What happens is that the animations continue for a couple of seconds after moving the camera - then stop , just as they would when rest mode was on.
I’ve had a play and I think it is happening when the Enscape isn’t the active window - if I click another window or even my task bar - the animations stop. Maybe this is by design.
The animations do indeed stop once Enscape is out of focus. Further you can of course forward this as a feature request to still have restmode disabled even when Enscape is not actively selected, but at the moment this behavior is to be expected and not exclusive to Enscape 3.5. ![]()
Thanks Demian, it makes sense for it to do that tbh
