Have an ongoing Revit 2025 project that rendered fine with V6, but crashes (hard close of Revit) after updating to V7 (Had to update VRay due to finding an incompatibility with Rhino.Inside. Too many plug-ins.) Can render portions of a scene, or some views but not others. It possibly is just one offending object but could take hours to track down (large model, lots of links, 5-10 minutes to reload every time it crashes and has likely been through a number of VRay versions with who knows how much residual baggage.) Not realistic to package and send to support.
Basically two questions -
Once the model was saved with V7, we could not go back to V6 - “project saved with newer Vray” or something. This is a huge problem if the new release does not provide the same stability. Can there be a way to disassociate the VRay version from the model? We had to roll back to an earlier Revit model, losing work in the process.
Any imminent updates coming? Have not seen anything since December, when it seems like the usual hotfix cadence is 1-2 months.
