I noticed a difference in the grass rendering in Revit versus sketchup.

Revit Grass appears flat, while Sketchup I can actually see blades of grass.

Am I missing something in Revit, has enscape developed a material which shows the grass with blades?

I’m just using the default grass materials.

The word ‘Grass’ needs to be in the material name in both software! Hope this helps 🙂

It doesn’t seem to be working in Revit

The material is named “grass”.

The appearance material is named “Grass - Dark Rye (1)”

I believe I have the most current version in Revit (1.9.3.5)

Hi @jefliving , grass rendering is only contained in the alpha version for Revit but we will implement it in the stable version as well.

You’ll find the preview section via a link at the bottom of our official download page.

Thanks Jonathon.

When do you expect the stable version to be released?

We can’t say it exactly, but it’s a matter of weeks. Enscape 2.0 will include numerous quality and feature improvements!

Hi,

We have installed the latest Enscape update which I noticed was given a grass feature which I think is a great feature but I was wondering if you can explain how I can utilize the grass feature?

Having a bit of difficulty doing this.

Many thanks

HI, which version of Enscape did you install exactly?

The grass feature is still a preview only feature, so you have to install the preview version 1.9.4.915. It is not included in the version 1.9.4.23.

But you have to use a grass material.

You can access the preview section via the bottom of the downloads page.

</div>

Its 1.9.4.23, so as you say not included.

Hopefully it will be in the next main released update.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Hi,

We can’t get grass to work. We are running latest build on Quadro cards (several varieties around the office - mine is K4200 on 368.86 drivers). As I understand it, we only need to put the word “Grass” into our material name?

Thanks for your help.

Hi @ExarKun if you are using the stable releases for Revit, you won’t be able to use grass.

The grass feature is still only contained in our preview versions: [New preview version: 1.9.6.1072](https://forum.enscape3d.com/index.php?thread/192-new-preview-version-1-9-6-1072/)

You can enter our preview section via the link at the bottom of our download page.

Looks like grass rendering is working in Revit, but it appears the feature is more robust in SketchUP. What is the solution to get taller looking grass in Revit?

This thread here is outdated. Right now, the grass is identical to Revit and SketchUp and looks much better than on the images above. There are currently no settings to adjust the height etc. but they may come.
