Revit IES Light Issue

Hey Guys,

I’m new to Enscape, so I apologise for my noob question!

I cannot get my lights to turn on, I thought it may have been the lights I was using so I downloaded the sample IEC Revit file found here:

https://enscape3d.com/free-sample-revit-projects/

I still get the same issue. I have I have ensured “artificial lights” are selected under render settings, however nothing changes. Attached is an image showing my issue. Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks, Nick

@vox_boy It seems that the lights are working, check the slightly glowing light sources.

Please try to change time of day into night by holding and swiping the mouse while pressing the right mouse button.

If the sun intensity is decreased the lights automatically show up as the sun usually smashes the artificial lights.

Hey Jonathan,

Thanks for your reply, I have tried changing the time of day. It makes no difference to how the lights display. Also how come some light are showing as dim but most aren’t on at all?

Thanks, Nick

Any other suggestions? I need to finish these renders for a presentation. It would be great to have a night shot.

@vox_boy , the lights in this example have different intensities (or, more precisely, they reach the surfaces in different intensities) due to the ies lights files applied. They shape the light distribution of each light differently, but they are all active.

I’m quite surprised by the fact that you wouldn’t see a difference even when changing the daytime to full night! Could you please do me a favor? Please open the Enscape settings, and in the ‘General’ tab, please hit the [Reset All] button (bottom left). Do you still not see a difference? If so, for a timely solution, could you please send us an example of a project that’s causing you trouble to , so we can have a closer look at it?
