A small scene I created. Any tips and suggestions for improvement are greatly appreciated.
Is the willow a proxy? : )
Yes ma’am it is! I love the proxy feature, it’s adds time to the render but brings so much life it is worth it.
ok so this is going to come across as harsh, but its all in mind of helping 
Firstly i don’t quite understand the point of the shot? Is it a scene you are making for yourself, or is it actually someones yard? To me its just showing the corner of a cramped empty garden with an overly dominating fence? Its quite a boring shot.
- The main thing that dominates the render is that fence and the shadow its casting…i’m guessing thats not what you want to be the main attraction?
- The image is too flat, try using the camera raw filter in photoshop to make it more punchy.
- Dirt on the window is too heavy, doesn’t really make sense with the clean brick wall.
- The color of the brick and the fence kind of merge into each other.
- Tiny plant pot on the window ledge… makes me feel you haven’t really thought about the scene dressing and just downloaded an asset and placed it there.
- Maybe some garden furniture would add some interest?
- I find the willow tree a bit odd, too flat.
Keep going though, it wont take much to improve the way you do things, just think about camera choices, set dressing etc. If its any help, I basically had to relook at some renders of mine recently for the same reason of not really thinking about what i wanted the render to convey to the viewer, why things were in the shot etc…look at reference, more reference and moorrre reference

Where did you get the proxies from for use in revit? I need trees for a site render for school.
You can download .obj or any other 3D format and use the ply2vrmesh.exe to convert them to proxies.
