Hello everyone!!!
I try installing the v-ray for rhino 4.0 1.00 for 2 days but i’ve got some problems about it. First off all, after microsoft visual c++ 2005 has installed (during the installation of vray), a message in a small window appears and it says “rhino rdk requires rhino 3.0 sr3c or later” (I have rhino 4 but why does it say rhino 3??) Besides, when i open the program it says “error loading vrayforrhino.rhp” For this problem i checked this forum and i found similar problems and some solution suggestions. According to these solutions i tried to install vray with rhino 4.0 SR1 and after SR3, it didn’t work. After that, i installed rhino 4.0 rdk and 4.0 rdk_sdk then installed vray but it didn’t work either. Finally and hopelessly, i installed visual c++ express 2008 and nothing new happened.
By the way, I’m using windows xp sp2 and i have no other problem in my pc (mostly :slight_smile: Would you help me please??

At first I thought it was just because I am using vista…

Try to deinstall VfR and install it again. Some times it helps.

If you install the latest SR1, the issue should be resolved. There may still be a message box that shows up giving the rhino 3.0 sr3c or later error message, but you should be able to get past it. The error message itself isn’t one that we made, it has to do with the RDK. Usually it only shows itself if you have a copy of Brazil or some other plugin that uses a newer version of RDK than what our 1.0 release uses.

Ive used Vray for rhino and as soon I got RDK installed, everything went bad! Now I open Rhino 4.0 and it appears a msg that says: “Error loading - \VRayForRhino.rhp”

Figured out I had to delete RDK’s archives, uninstall VRay and re-install it again… Still, the same msg appears!

There must be a solution to go back!

btw…I have windows xp
