While I was working on the structural frame for a pavilion before adding walls, floor, or roof, ORBIT with the right mouse button would work only sporadically, although the button worked perfectly in all other situations and applications. Very frustrating, until I discovered that the mouse pointer needs to be hovering over a piece of 3D geometry when the button is pressed. If it is over empty space (background, sky) as it frequently was with the pavilion, no 3D point can be determined to orbit around, and the command is not executed.
Hey @Bill_Gilliss_1 , glad to hear you were able to find out the cause behind why you couldn’t use our orbit functionality. Is there anything you’d like to see changed/implemented regarding this subject, or did you mention this as general information for everyone to see? ![]()
It was intended for everyone to see. Instead of failing to work, with no explanation, perhaps Enscape could pop up a quick alert message to the user when it is unable to determine a point to use for Orbit: “Select an Orbit point on a 3D object.”
@Bill_Gilliss_1 , thanks for getting back at me, I’ll add this to our agenda in form of a feature request.
Thank you for the further feedback - This will be added to the feature request as well! ![]()
I had a similar experience. Gave me a bit of headaches for two days. Solution- uninstall mouse driver and reinstall. especcially if you use a logitech mouse with logi software.
Also use windows updates and repair with option to save apps and files. worked for me also
