Isnt there a command to rotate something to a certain angle…Perhaps picking something in your PS file to align to? I cant find it anywhere and I swore it was somewhere. I have a layer that is like a banner at an angle and I am creating text and stuff that I want at the same angle. I know I could just write it down… 
but I forgot and I could eyeball…Just for future reference.

If you hold your shift key down it’ll incrementally rotate. or you could type in your angle.. up on your menu you’ll see that option when you are in your rotate command.
In free transform mode up in the tool settings there is an angle type-in

You can also use “transform again” (ctl-shift-T) to apply the same transform successively to different parts.

Hijack! I have always wondered why when I cut/paste a part of an image into another image of the same size it doesn’t come in at the same place. Example would be when I do a render matte pass and I paste that matte into the scene it always comes in high. It isn’t a problem moving it down, but why do I have to? Any clues?
That is a pain, but you can get around that (and get around using up excess RAM with your clipboard) by floating your selection as a layer and duplicating the layer across through the menus instead of doing cut/paste. Then it will come into the new file in the correct position.

DOH…NO…hehe…I know that guys…LOL… I thought there was a command to ALIGN something to something. Like have a line at a certain angle and then rotate it to match or something…but maybe I dreamt it.
If they have the same size, then ctrl+shift when drag and drop from one image to another.

You just need to hold shift when you are dragging from one image to the next. Then yes, if they are the same dimensions it will come in at the same place.
Eric, first set the ruler tool, then with the right layer selected go to transform->rotate it will automatically inherit the rotation from the ruler.

side note, my Adobe help center thing is jacked. When I go to help from PS, I get the help for Indesign or Premiere…

When going to “Help - Photoshop Help” it should open up the Adobe Help Viewer. In the Help Viewer, from the pulldown menu, you should be able to browse for any Adobe help file installed on you system.
Otherwise you might consider a reinstall.

yup that’s what I’m saying. just premiere and Indesign. I don’t even think Indesign is on my workstation.
When I have time, I’ll reinstall. everything is installed via policy by IT. Where ever I log in, “my” apps will be made available.
