Hello
Which Round Edges I use, the one in the Material, or the one on the node?
And please can anyone explain me the diference between them?
Thanks
Hi @christina_nbrega Thank you for asking!
Just to give you some context: in Vray for Cinema 4D, there are two ways to create the look of rounded edges on your objects — either through the material’s built-in round edges or by using a Round Edges node in your shader network. Both achieve a similar fake bevel effect by modifying surface normals, but they work a bit differently.
The main difference is that the material version is faster and easier, while the node version is more customizable for complex materials. Both only change shading, not the actual geometry, so your object’s silhouette stays sharp.
