Royal Render

Has anybody used Corona with Royal Render? RR is my favorite render manager and I would like to know if anybody is rendering corona via RR.

I’d like to, Royal Render is absolutely fantastic. But at the moment, I’m only getting a crashed Renderer, while with the scanline render, everything is working. Figuring out at the moment, what the error could cause.

Uh. I had some trouble in the beginning as well. But, i can’t remember the details- getting old.
You have to watch the log-files closely. If you don’t succeed, open a support ticket at RR. They will help you.

With recent deadline discontinuation, I would like to revive this topic.

Has anyone tried royal render, and how it worked for you with corona specifically?
Is it worth it for archviz only?
How’s the setup and support?
Or anyone tried any other render managers?

For now we testing RenderFlow. Easy to use, but it’s missing batch submission features, and tile rendering don’t work at the moment.
So it would be interesting to hear if anyone has used royal render, maybe it’s a better option.

I’m still using RR. Since 20 years by now! It is free for up to 4 Clients.
Setup is easy though you have to read the manual carefully( written more for the IT admin than the artist)
I don’t know if I can generalize this because I know Holger personally, but for me support is lightning fast.
And he keeps improving things, adding things. Currently he is working on integrating ComfyUI: https://groups.google.com/g/rrKnights/c/O_rQPnM5uUM

Nice to know that at least someone is using it. Cause original website looks dense and less artist friendly.
We will most likely stick with RenderFlow until free trial ends, and decide if we will bite the bullet and buy licenses for it. Or test out RR.
We would need to buy licenses for both either way.

What’s intriguing is ComfyUi integration. Our boss currently working on inhouse ComfyUi setup, and this could influence his decision if RR will get good integration for it.

If you have specific questions I would recommend to reach out to Holger(Schönberger). He is an outstanding software engineer and a really nice guy,
