hi folks
i’m trying to get RPC working in Max 2008 x64. once installed tho it seems to clash with Vray as i get a MAXscript Auto-load Script error before Max terminates, with the message “--Unknown system exception”.
anyone have this problem?

Does it say for which script?

yes - “\scripts\startup\vrsceneexport.ms”
Then try to rename that script; normally you don’t need it - although at start-up the script does not really do anything specific (just registering a menu item).

On closer inspection, the times i ok’d the error dialog box actually brought up 2 different scripts:
“\scripts\startup\vrsceneexport.ms” + “\scripts\startup\vrayutils.ms”
Its not a constant problem though, crashes about 50% of the time. Will try installing 2009 shortly and see if I get the same problem.
nik- sounds like your startup scripts might be pointing to the wrong location
