RT GPU and nvidia 275.27 beta driver

Hello,

it’s seems that if RT gpu isn’t able to build a new *.clbin file with the Nvidia 275.27 beta driver .
If i delete the *.clbin file in temp that was created with older driver, vrayRTserver crash before building a new one.

However , RT gpu is working great with the 275.27 beta driver and the old clbin file .

*i’m in love with RTGPU :slight_smile: but i miss some blend materials .

I can’t seem to get RT OpenCL to work on any driver younger than 270.61. I just tried the beta 280s and the issue persists. I also tried a Quadro 600, GTX 580, and GTX 590 in my machine with different drivers and I get the same results.

I realize this is likely not Chaos Group’s fault, but could Vlado start a sticky that keeps track of the latest drivers that are known to work, or does it really depend on what system you’re running or even the luck of the draw?

I don’t think it depends on the system or GPU; just the particular OpenCL code that we have seems to crash the newer driver. On the bright side, this doesn’t seem to happen with our latest OpenCL code which will go into the next V-Ray service pack, so hopefully things will be fine there.
