Is there any utility avaliable that will tell me exactly how much ram my scene is eating up?
Looking to purchase a GTX580 3GB.. not sure if it’s going to be large enough.

You can get a Windows 7 Gadget for Nvidia cards that works really well. It’s called GPU Observer. Has CPU,RAM usage, and GPU temperature.
