Currently, I have to run a custom live link from SketchUp in order to keep modeling with Vantage running and be able to save. Will we be able to get Vantage 3.0 and SketchUp to allow saving through a live link without using this workaround?

This is so annoying. What’s the point of using live link if you can’t save your progress in SketchUp?

We are aware of this behavior when Vantage is started directly from SketchUp. Unfortunately, it is a known SketchUp issue with “CFileException 0” when saving file . We are looking into possible workarounds.

Good news! Our developers found a solution. A new way to launch Vantage/Vision Live Link directly from SketchUp will be implemented in the next major V-Ray version which will allow saving .skp file changes during the running live link.
