Saving all imaps from an animation

Already said, I’d like to save all imaps for every single frame of an animation ( I usually animate the camera to render say a series of 3 or 4 or 5 stills in one scene) and when rendering the series only the last imap is saved. I must be missing the obvious.

thanks

Fermí,

You need to calculate the first one “Single frame”, then check the “incremental add to current map” option and if you have the autosave checked on the end you only need to check it from file.

Hi Gonçalo,

I’ve tried and I don’t have all imaps saved at the end (and that’s what I want).

Yes, in an animation it reuses part of the imap so next frame is calculated faster.

But I am not really rendering an animation, I am rendering a series of stills (one may have nothing to do with the other, nor the lightning using as batch renderer an animated camera, but one may render from North and next From South.

So I wanted it to Autosave a series of Imaps as it renders a series of frames, ok, I’ll have to batchrender one by one giveing each time an individual imap name… :frowning:

It was a bug in the “03a-d” version that could cause this!
You should be able to do that with the new build “e” without problems

 should have mentioned I still am using 1.09.02u

If you upgrade to 1.09.03e you can do this with maxscript.

Thanks egz,

I am placing it in the “things pending revision” bag for a while, never handled any scripting… , + have to wait ongoing projects to finish before I stop and upgrade :?
