Scene Parsing Very, Very Slow with Rail Clone

Apologies, I know this is an old topic but I’m a new user and there never appeared to be a solution.

I have just jumped over from VRay and I’m finding the scene parsing times when using Railclone ridiculously long. Looking at the stats, it takes, 90 secs to parse the scene that then takes 4 seconds to render.
When I turn off the 3 Railclone objects (roof tiles) I get 0 seconds for parsing. I have checked the 3 RC objects and all have the ‘use instancing engine’ checked on which I believe is supposed to speed things up (?).
I’m hoping that this is user error rather than Corona.

I’m also assuming that as I have the ‘use instancing engine’ checked on, the RC multi materials won’t work?
Thanks

We are aware of some issues when using Corona + iToo plugins. Some of the most common ones are slow parsing / pre-rendering stages and freezes with IR.

The good news is that:

If you would like to share your exact problem, please do. We can test your scene and check if it’s better with the newest versions now. You can share your problematic scene with our support team here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Thanks Maru
I have emailed in the max scene. Hopefully it can be tested on one of your daily builds to see if it can parse quicker.
Regarding the RC materials not working (with instance engine on), do you know if this has been addressed in the daily builds?
Thanks

Late update:
Slow parsing was expected in this case. The solution is to switch to “Embedded” or “External” proxy cache display method as explained here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/13940160485009

This may be helpful to Corona + RailClone users.
