How often are you guys asked to screen share your models so the client can micromanage you? I rarely speak to my clients on the phone, so it is needless to say, a client wanting me to screen share daily is frustrating as heck. Do you do a lot of screen sharing?
lol no, never.
we have done it a few times , mainly with our other offices in other cities and a few times with clients. Overall it has been beneficial to get views locked down or to clarifying a few design details etc, especially when its just not possible to have an in person meeting meeting.
in general I wouldn’t agree to it if someone wanted to have it running for an extended period of time, just to micro manage the project.
It really helps to have a super fast internet connection as lagging can ruin a screen share session and quickly turn it into a nightmare.
The only time I ever screen-shared is with my old friend and studio boss, when we were working on certain projects long-distance. And this was specifically to do with animations and complex camera
animations and timings. That worked very well and speeded up the data flow, although he talks to much and wastes my valuable time 
In your situation for all clients? LOL no way, apart from possibly the odd time when something simply can’t be rectified or explained via email. And then only on your terms
- never dictated by the client imo.
Just say it’s double rate when screen sharing…
To unlock that feature he has to share his checkbook first
I told him that I can meet him on the review site, but he doesn’t need me to make comments. He said, “we would prefer a screen share it and it shouldn’t take more than your afternoon”. Really! He has already destroyed his image by raising the camera too high, putting the sun behind the camera and other deadly mistakes. I am trying to lead him, but he knows everything.
He is looking for the cinematographic shot!!.. too much Game of Thrones.
