script for better poly selecting available ?

Hi all

One of my partners just asked me, if there´s any script for max polys or meshes, that helps in selecting edges, polys and so on.

what he is searching for, isn´t only the ring and loop option, but better something similar with for example select this ring from edge x to edge y clockwise, or for example select this ring , but only each third edge…

so anyone who knows if there exists someting comparable ? we allready have integreated the polytools and meshtools in our ui, but something as he asked isnt available yet.

i dont know of anything specific…but there’s a bunch of tools on scriptspot that might help

In the 3th CD of max 6 in the folder SCRIPT->SAMPLES->laszlo_Scripts.zip. This is Meshtools. THere are many usefull features

MAX 7 has paint brush selection tools…very cool!!! Gotta wait though.
