search 3d models of trucks

hi there,
i am working on an eagle eye view of a shopping center, and need some 3d models of trucks for the delivery areas. would be nice to get some free ones, but would also pay for them.
thanks

dunno if they are good enough for your needs but here ya go:

http://dmi.chez-alice.fr/modelstruck1.html

click the big triangles left and right to switch pages … missed that when i first saw the page :stuck_out_tongue:

and the general site wich also has a car and military and utility section:

Grab the Dosch Transport models, they’ve got some good trucks and vans and such.

thanks for your replies. the trucks on the chez-alice sit look very good. will try them.

lwo and lws files… lightwave… max… lightwave… max… aaarrggg, how do i import them hehe

obj or fbx should do the job.

notice i said lwo. not obj. the files on that site are lwo files. i had to download a demo of deep exploration to convert them. if anyone else knows a different way to get lwo into max let me know.

It seems like I used one of the old Max 5 or previous LWO importers with success a release or two ago. Here is what the search for LWO under max 5 at maxplugins.de turned up:

This is an importer for LightWave's object file format (*.lwo).

This plugin imports Lightwave LWO2 files, the new Lightwave file format introduced with Lightwave 6.

and this would work in max 2009?

Haven’t tried it, but someone was saying they use Blender to convert formats… Might be worth giving it a shot. Let me know how that works

I just tried both of the importers I linked above with 2009 and they did not work.

However I did possibly stumble onto something akin to right hemisphere’s Deep X, but with much less cost:

MicroMouse - Home

You can evidently use it for 30 days to see if it fits your needs, then decide to etiher pay up the $20 for continued use or honor the devs wishes and remove the program from your system.

i was hoping there would be a more direct translator from within max
